I’d wanted an aventurine watch, especially a moonphase, ever since I saw the now uncommon Omega Speedmaster moonphase with aventurine dial over 10 years ago. Although gorgeous pieces, something like that isn’t in the budget for now. A handful of other aventurine dial watches have come along in that time, though none have impressed me quite like the LS04 has, especially for the price. There’s only a couple nitpicks of things I would have changed - the aventurine on my example is almost a little *too* glittery, more stardust than starry sky. I went with the standard movement, which is fine but not terribly a lot to look at - an engraved solid caseback would have been preferred to a display back. Lastly, more a matter of taste - strap is a little too thick for the svelte case profile to me, I swapped it for a slimmer saffiano leather strap in dark blue. Those are all are minor though and overall I’m very pleased with it!
