Following the previous chapters in our Art Series—the UK-inspired LS06 Adventures in Wonderland and Japan’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa—I felt a strong pull to create something deeply personal. We turned our creative lens toward Hong Kong, my birthplace. The distinct ridge line of Lion Rock has carried the stories, perseverance, and quiet strength of generations. It is not just a landmark; it is the ultimate symbol of the city’s enduring spirit, made for every Hong Konger and collector who carries that grit within them.

To capture the rugged authenticity of the mountain, the relief at 6 o'clock undergoes multi-layer stamping and high-precision CNC machining to recreate its natural rock texture, finished with a dark electro-plated coating. Mounted directly above the aventurine glass, the ridge line plays dynamically with light: under bright sunshine, the detailed texture comes alive, while under softer ambient light, it recedes into a subtle silhouette. Encased in a vintage-style 38mm profile with a box-shaped sapphire crystal, it balances rich storytelling with effortless everyday versatility as a dress watch.

Positioned at 1 o'clock, the 29.5-day true moonphase complication is powered by our custom in-house module. Developing this layout allowed us to achieve exact visual balance across the dial, using the glowing full moon to offset the heavy physical presence of the mountain peak at 6 o'clock. This off-centered arrangement creates a dynamic, architectural landscape that draws the eye across the starry sky.
