About us
LORESUM is a watchmaking company focused on achieving a new standard in aesthetics and mechanics. We focus on bespoke modules like moonphase, regulator, jumping hour and more.
Why "Loresum"
LORESUM is a watchmaking company focused on achieving a new standard in aesthetics and mechanics. The name "LORESUM" is inspired by "lorem ipsum," a placeholder text used in design that highlights the visual appeal of a layout without distracting from the design itself. LORESUM aims to create original, artful watches that embody this concept of aesthetic completeness.
LORESUM specializes in watches with customized modules and unique time-telling experiences. The brand offers intriguing features like jumping hour, a 29.5-day true moonphase, and regulator functions. Despite their high-quality materials—such as Aventurine, Oxny, and mother-of-pearl—LORESUM strives to keep these luxury timepieces affordable.
Golden ratio
Craft timepieces reflecting aesthetic beauty drawn from ancient wisdom, integrating the golden ratio.
Unique modules
We place a strong focus on designing unique modules including moonphase, regulator, jumping hour, and more.
Development
All our parts are uniquely made and we do not use pre-made parts from the market. This guarantees a personalized and bespoke watch that aligns with our preferences. Our main goal is to attain the desired craftsmanship and thickness.
Jason Chan
Jason Chan, the head designer and founder of LORESUM is particularly experienced in all aspects of watch design. He specializes in the watchmaking process along with the development and design of unique time-telling systems.
In December 2017, Chan’s very first brand JW Watch made its debut. Through his efforts the company grew, firmly establishing its place in the watchmaking industry. His iconic models JW-01 and JW-02 are still out of stock to this day. Following this endeavour, he joined the Behrens Original team as a designer for several of their watches. Learning from a mature development team, Jason further expanded his knowledge of watch mechanics and in particular his experience working with high-quality modules.
