LS06 - Royal Ellipse

The Loresum LS06 Series captures the bold elegance of the 1970s with its distinctive ellipse-shaped case, a timeless silhouette reimagined for today’s collector. Inside, the slim yet powerful HZ5000a micro-rotor mechanical movement delivers precision and sophistication.

Each model showcases a dial crafted from natural stone—Charoite, Malachite, Tiger Eye, Lapis and Onyx—cut and polished to highlight unique patterns and depth, ensuring that no two watches are ever the same. A refined small seconds display completes the design with balanced functionality.

Blending vintage character with modern craftsmanship, the LS06 stands as a distinctive expression of rarity, artistry, and enduring mechanical beauty.

The Ellipse Case

The ellipse case of the LS06 is a direct nod to the organic, geometric shapes that defined 1970s luxury watches. During that decade, traditional round cases gave way to bold forms—rectangular, cushion, tank, and ellipse—mirroring the era’s fascination with mid-century modern design and fluid architectural lines. Measuring 35.5mm x 39.5mm and just 9.4mm thick, the LS06 is exceptionally slim for a mechanical watch. We refined its profile to be thin yet visually lighter, with a subtle case curve that enhances elegance on the wrist

The Stone Dial

One of the most celebrated aspects of 1970s luxury watchmaking was the use of hardstone dials —materials like malachite, lapis lazuli, tiger's eye, and onyx—symbols of wealth, rarity, and artisanal skill. Pioneers transformed these stones into minimalist dials, letting their colours and patterns speak for themselves. The LS06 continues this tradition with four natural stone options: deep green malachite, royal blue lapis lazuli, golden-brown tiger's eye, or jet black onyx. Each dial has a unique pattern—no two are the same. These are among the largest stone dials in the market today, and producing them requires rare expertise. Only a handful of skilled factories can cut stone to this large yet thin format without cracks, making the yield rate low. The result is a dial that feels alive—shifting subtly with the light.

*All LS06 dials are made from real natural stone, each with its own unique pattern and character. The photos and videos shown are for reference only. We do not accept refunds based on personal preference for the specific stone pattern you receive.

The Micro-Rotor Movement

In the 1970s, the micro-rotor became a symbol of refined luxury, appearing in some of the most prestigious and expensive watch brands of the era. Unlike traditional full rotors, the micro-rotor allows for slimmer cases without sacrificing automatic winding, making it rare and highly sought-after. For the LS06, LORESUM chose a HZ5000a movement—the best option available with both a micro-rotor and small seconds hand. It is robust, reliable, and beautifully finished, complete with customised heat-blued screws for added refinement. The rarity of modern micro-rotor movements makes this watch stand out, echoing the spirit of 1970s high horology while keeping it accessible today.
