It is not easy to write a review for this watch. I am satisfied that I purchased it. However, I wouldn’t say I feel that I’m wearing $2.2k watch….machining and finishing is pristine. It does take a bit of getting used to as far as reading the time. The BIG are of dissatisfaction that is purely functional is LUME. It is next to impossible to read the time in dark conditions. I feel that the hour and minute wheels as we as the hands should have been covered with 5-6 layers of C3/BGW9/radium 1 something really really bright and lasting. The date wheel should be luminous as well.
Another area of disappointment is the day/night wheel. It has no lume at all and also the positioning and the symbols used on that wheel make it difficult to read/apply. This design flaw, I feel, is a major subtractor from the watch overall. It makes the day/night wheel basically non-functional/decorative/gratuitous. Like it’s there just to feel the symmetry needs of the design. Much more could’ve been done.
